Peak Trait - Good Judgment
|
"Good judgment means to make good choices even if it is hard." ~ Nora Bronson, Class of 2035 ~ |
May 28, 2026
Dear KMS Families,
As we wrap up the 2025–2026 school year, I want to take a moment to look back on what an incredible journey it has been.
It has been an absolute joy watching our students grow, learn, and succeed every single day. It has been amazing to see our 4th graders grow from the very start of the year, when they went to the Great Geauga County Fair, to the end of the year, celebrating together at the 4th-grade field day and talent show! This past month alone has been packed with unforgettable experiences that perfectly highlight our students' energy and curiosity: our 7th graders had an amazing time making memories at camp, our 5th graders put their science lessons into action using binoculars during their trip to The West Woods, and our 6th graders took to the Cuyahoga River for a hands-on lesson about the beautiful geography right around us. I am extremely proud of all that your students have accomplished this year, both in and out of the classroom!
As we head into the sunny months ahead, I encourage everyone to find a great book, spend time reading together, and keep learning wherever you go. Thank you for your wonderful partnership this year, and I wish you all a safe, happy, and relaxing summer!
Sincerely,
Adam Fender Principal

UpSTANDers RISE to Bomber Beliefs at KMS What is an UpSTANDer? - An “upstander” is a person
who acts to make positive change.
At Kenston Middle School, we are looking for students to support our R.I.S.E. Behavior Program by creating a positive school climate and inclusive culture where all students can succeed.
The PBIS Committee, with the help of teachers and staff, would like to recognize students who go above and beyond in their actions to create positive change and a positive climate. Students will be given UpSTANDer cards by staff when they see students exemplifying one or more of the following characteristics in the middle school: Respect, Positive Attitude, Inclusive, Leadership, Engaged, Responsibility, and Safety.
We want to acknowledge our students for their hard work and hope they feel a sense of pride and connection to their school. Students should take their cards home to show their family. Also, students can enter a weekly drawing to receive an UpSTANDer reward by scanning the QR Code on the front of their card.
Congratulations to our recent and final UpSTANDers for this school year!
