Principal's Message...

January 16, 2026

Greetings, Timmons Families!

The month of January marks the midpoint in our school year, and we are focused on our PEAK trait of Self Control.  We explain to students that one way a Timmons HERO shows self control is by making a plan, staying on task, and getting things done.  This is also a great time to review with students the expectations we have for them.

The new year is a perfect time to set goals and work towards improvement. Our students are completing their IReady and Dibels mid year check. Once completed, our teachers will review those results and adjust the plan to support your child’s growth. Many of our teachers conference with their students. Teachers will ask students what they believe they need to work on. I am excited to see how our students respond to their “plan” and grow this semester.

Additionally, I encourage families to download the Kenston Local Schools app to stay connected. It is your one-stop source for important updates, news, and announcements from across the District. Through the app, you can receive notifications tailored to the building your student attends. You will also find the "Live Feed," which is updated in real time with building-specific information and district-wide news. You may also find our updates and the Live Feed through our website, www.kenstonlocal.org.

In closing, I would like to wish each of you a very peaceful and prosperous New Year!

With Gratitude,
Dave Rogaliner
Principal

Save the Date - Kindergarten Parent Meeting

Parents of children entering Kindergarten this August are invited to attend the Kindergarten Information Night on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 7 pm, held in person at Timmons Elementary School.

During the evening, families will learn more about the Kindergarten program and the registration process. In accordance with new Ohio law, children must be five (5) years old on or before the first day of school to be eligible for Kindergarten.

We look forward to welcoming our newest Bombers to the Kenston Bomber family.

Important Clinic News: Flu Season Reminder

Flu season is upon us! If your child is showing signs of illness—such as fever, cough, or fatigue—please keep them home from school. Additionally, contact the building office at the start of the school day to report your child’s absence.

To help prevent the spread of germs, it’s important to model healthy habits at home:
  - Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow.
  - Wash your hands frequently with soap and clean water for at least 20 seconds. (A fun tip: singing the alphabet while washing is a great guide!)

By working together, we can keep our students and staff healthy and safe this season.
