Peak Trait - Honesty

"Honesty means saying what it is, even though it is not always what people want to hear."

April 24, 2026

Dear KMS Families,

As the sun begins to shine a little brighter and the days get longer, it is hard to believe we are entering the final stretch of the school year! We appreciate the vibrant home-to-school connection that makes our school feel like a second home for your children.

While the beautiful weather naturally brings a bit of "spring fever," let’s work together to keep our students focused and energized. By maintaining our routines just a little longer, we can ensure every student finishes the year with confidence and pride. Thank you for being our partners in this journey, and let’s make these final weeks the best ones yet!

Sincerely,

Adam Fender
Principal

KMS UpSTANDers

UpSTANDers RISE to Bomber Beliefs at KMS
What is an UpSTANDer? - An “upstander” is a person
who acts to make positive change.

At Kenston Middle School, we are looking for students to support our R.I.S.E. Behavior Program by creating a positive school climate and inclusive culture where all students can succeed.

The PBIS Committee, with the help of teachers and staff, would like to recognize students who go above and beyond in their actions to create positive change and a positive climate. Students will be given UpSTANDer cards by staff when they see students exemplifying one or more of the following characteristics in the middle school: Respect, Positive Attitude, Inclusive, Leadership, Engaged, Responsibility, and Safety.

We want to acknowledge our students for their hard work and hope they feel a sense of pride and connection to their school. Students should take their cards home to show their family. Also, students can enter a weekly drawing to receive an UpSTANDer reward by scanning the QR Code on the front of their card.

Congratulations to our recent UpSTANDers!

Clothing should be constructed and worn in a manner that is not unduly revealing and no undergarments should be visible ( male or female) whether standing or sitting. Garments must be of appropriate length and size"
