Peak Trait - Honesty

"Honesty means saying what it is, even though it is not always what people want to hear."
~ Mr. Papp, KHS Teacher ~

April 10, 2026

Dear KMS Families,

Over the past several weeks, it has been inspiring to see the continued strength of our partnership among students, staff, and families. In our classrooms, students are actively engaged, thinking deeply, and showing a consistent commitment to doing their best. Your support at home makes a meaningful difference and is a key part of this success. As we move forward, we look forward to building on this positive energy and continuing the important work that supports each student’s academic, social, and emotional growth. Thank you for being such a valued part of our school community.

Sincerely,

Adam Fender
Principal

Kenston Cooks Compeition

On March 16, 2026, Kenston High School hosted the annual Kenston Cooks competition, a collaborative event between the Nutrition Services Department and the Health and Wellness Committee that promotes healthy lifestyles through culinary creativity. The competition featured two talented representatives from the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades, each selected through a competitive application process to showcase their skills. These young chefs impressed the judges by preparing and plating signature pizza dishes, then joined Mr. Mendez for a Q&A session to discuss their recipe inspirations and excitement for cooking.

This year’s competitors include Audrey Bartter, Jameson Boergert, Paul Bosher, Harlan Carroll, Sophia Facaros, Amelia Korzhiletskiy, Payton Seegert, Kinsley Stupka, Ben Taras, and Becca Wurm. The 2026 winners were Becca Wurm and Peyton Seegert.

Congratulations to all Kenston Cooks!

KMS UpSTANDers

UpSTANDers RISE to Bomber Beliefs at KMS
What is an UpSTANDer? - An “upstander” is a person
who acts to make positive change.

At Kenston Middle School, we are looking for students to support our R.I.S.E. Behavior Program by creating a positive school climate and inclusive culture where all students can succeed.

The PBIS Committee, with the help of teachers and staff, would like to recognize students who go above and beyond in their actions to create positive change and a positive climate. Students will be given UpSTANDer cards by staff when they see students exemplifying one or more of the following characteristics in the middle school: Respect, Positive Attitude, Inclusive, Leadership, Engaged, Responsibility, and Safety.

We want to acknowledge our students for their hard work and hope they feel a sense of pride and connection to their school. Students should take their cards home to show their family. Also, students can enter a weekly drawing to receive an UpSTANDer reward by scanning the QR Code on the front of their card.

Congratulations to our recent UpSTANDers!
