Dear Kenston Families,


We hope you are having a relaxing and wonderful summer! As we look ahead to the new school year, we want to share some important information from the District to help you prepare for the start of school on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

Starting Thursday, July 3, 2025, you will receive an email to complete the Annual Census Verification. Parents or guardians are required to complete the Census Verification for their child(ren) so they can receive their students' 2025/26 schedule or classroom assignment. This verification is done ONLINE through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and must be completed by Friday, August 1, 2025. 

Summer is a great time to read and grow, and we have suggested reading lists available on the district website for your reference. To help you prepare for the 2025/26 school year, click here to view the 2025-26 Kenston School Supply Lists. Also, be aware that the State of Ohio will once again offer a sales tax holiday for back-to-school shoppers. The tax-free weekend has been extended and will run from Friday, August 1, through 11:59 pm on Thursday, August 14. Click here for more details about the sales tax holiday.

Please note the school hours for the 2025/26 school year. Timmons Elementary School (Pre-K - 3 grades) 8:45 am to 3:20 pm, Kenston Middle School (4th - 7th grades) 7:38 am to 2:25 pm, and Kenston High School (8th - 12th grades) 7:43 am to 2:18 pm. KCE will continue to provide after-school care for students at Timmons Elementary and Kenston Middle School. Aftercare registration information will be posted on the Kenston Community Education website in the coming weeks.

As you continue to enjoy your summer, we want to share the 2025-26 Back to School Save the Dates so you can mark your calendars for important events. If you have any questions during the summer, please feel free to contact the Board of Education Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
