Dear Senior Parents and Students,
Each year, the Geauga County Sheriff's Office sponsors the "Your Life, Your Choice" program and invites high school seniors from all schools in Geauga County.
The purpose of the awareness program is to educate students on the dangers of operating a vehicle while intoxicated or distracted. The program uses real-life scenarios and testimonies of people whose lives have been forever changed by crashes caused by intoxicated/distracted drivers. The program is extremely powerful and timely taking place before all of the end of the year events including prom and commencement. The message is simple and timeless: Your Life, Your Choice.
The program is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Parkside. Students will be dismissed after first block at 9:10 a.m. and will be transported to Parkside by school transportation. At the conclusion of the program, students will return to the school by 12:30 p.m. to eat lunch and then attend his/her fourth block class.
We plan on all of our senior students attending this program. There will be an assembly for senior students on Friday, February 26th during lunch blocks, to review the program information. If for any reason you would not like your son/daughter to attend, please contact Assistant Principal, Matt Watts, in the Main Office.
Thank you!
