As we move into mid-November and the holiday season, I want to highlight the importance of gratitude. A simple thank you can make a meaningful difference in our school community.
In high school, gratitude isn’t just polite; it strengthens relationships, builds resilience, and supports the positive culture we work to create for every student. When students feel appreciated by peers, teachers, or staff, they feel seen, valued, and connected. These small acknowledgments can significantly boost confidence, motivation, and overall well-being.
Whether it’s thanking a classmate, recognizing a teacher’s support, or acknowledging a staff member, these everyday gestures help foster empathy and respect. Research shows that practicing gratitude improves focus and supports better academic and social outcomes.
Thank you for supporting KHS and staying connected through the Bomber Bulletin. For daily updates, please check the Bomber Reminders announcements and the calendar links below.
Sincerely,
Tom Gabram, KHS Principal

On Tuesday, November 11, KHS paused during classes to honor our Veterans for their service and sacrifice. Specifically, we honored Chagrin Falls Fire Marshal and Navy veteran Jim Finley, 2nd Lt./Officer of Fire Direction/Executive Officer in Vietnam Dennis Vauter, and Marine Corps veteran Larry Marrow. Click here to view this year’s Veterans Day video.
A special thank you to the students in Bomber Media, taught by Mr. Ryan Novak, for helping produce this tribute: Wes Abrahamson (junior), Andrew Fender (senior), and Charlie McMicken (junior). |

Honor Roll - 1st Nine Weeks |
|
|
Congratulations to these students for all of their hard work!
At Kenston High School, we do not take this honor lightly. We recognize that students are juggling so many schedules and after-school activities on top of their school work. We applaud the dedication it takes to achieve high grades in addition to their busy schedules. Keep up the good work!

Twelve Angry Jurors contemplates the huge responsibility of a group of ordinary people as they consider the guilt or innocence of a young man accused of murder. Each juror brings their own history and biases to the room as they work through this life-or-death decision. As the twelve try to reach a unanimous decision, one juror casts considerable doubt on elements of the case. Personal issues soon rise to the surface, and conflict threatens to derail the process that will decide one boy's fate.

Kenston Stadium and Tennis Courts Closed for the Season |
|
|
|
As winter approaches with cold temperatures and wintry weather, please note that the Kenston Stadium (including the track) and Tennis Courts are closed for the season. The hazards of winter weather (including slippery surfaces, strong winds, and cold temperatures) require the facilities to be closed, which will extend their life. The stadium and tennis courts will reopen in the Spring of 2026.
The 1.5-mile Kenston trail is available year-round; however, it is open only during non-school hours and when not in use by a team. This trail provides many opportunities to enjoy nature and exercise, but only during non-school hours. Please also note that dogs are not permitted on the trail or on campus unless they are service dogs.

State Testing Coming Soon! |
|
|
|
December 2 - December 10
Our state-mandated high school testing window is quickly approaching! Students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade will take end-of-course exams for the following courses: Algebra, Geometry, English II, Biology, American History, and American Government. You can view the testing schedule here.
All tests begin at 7:45 a.m. Please drink lots of water starting a couple of days prior, get a good night's rest, and eat a healthy breakfast.
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
Students may prepare for end-of-course exams through resources provided by the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.
Students can also practice the tests here without the instructions. These tests are often referred to as "OSTs," which is an acronym (Ohio State Tests). Students currently enrolled in courses with required testing may access practice tests and sample questions anytime online!
